It all started with a film. In the 1980s, Harry Belafonte's movie 'Beatstreet', with its socio-critical but colorful New York youth culture, burst into my socialist everyday life in Hoyerswerda. Spurred on by the “class enemy's” attitude to life, we went in front of the town´s biggest department store and imitated the break dance movements of our idols.
Later I studied at the Leipzig State Ballet School, danced for the Schwerin State Theatre and appeared as a guest dancer for the German TV Ballet and the artists agency Phase 7. Next to my advancements as choreographer and cameraman, I took up directing as another central profession. Since 2001 I made TV contributions for programs such as ZDF "aspekte" or Arte "Metropolis" as well as several international documentaries.
